David’s 17 year career with the railroad included General Manager, Environmental Impact Assessment Division and Chair of the National Environmental Steering Committee, along with extensive union negotiating assignments. As a private consultant and business owner he designed and implemented an effluent treatment system to reduce the biological oxygen demand on local sewage treatment systems; later implemented by the Ministry of the Environment for large private and municipal laundries. David’s water chemistry experience led to hydrogen research and the alternative energy sector. Tom led the efforts at Computer Sciences Corporation to have one of its Business Units attain a Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Level 3 rating, and a Hardware Integration Facility achieve an ISO 9002 certification. He made the switch from the information technology industry to the investment industry in 2000 at Prediction Company, a multi-billion dollar, highly mathematical and technical hedge fund. While there as Vice President of Process and Business Development and Managing Director of Financial Data Systems, he helped the firm grow from 20 people to 50, and from one product group to five. Tom also founded his own algorithmic trade execution company (equities) in 2003, was the COO of a foreign exchange hedge fund, and for the past few years has been consulting with early stage businesses to assist them with business plan documentation, pro forma financial statement creation, and capital raises.
